Elly Van Eeghem (1983) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Ghent, Belgium.
Her work is often shaped by consumption and movement in urban space and
incorporates interventions in public space, video, photography and text.
She regularly combines these in multiform installations.
Van Eeghem studied theatre, performance and new media studies at Ghent University (2003-2007), performing art at Université Paris X (2006) and urban space at l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de la Cambre (2007-2008). Her current work, (Dis)placed Interventions, is inscribed within the context of a PhD in the arts at KASK School of Arts Ghent.
The work of Elly Van Eeghem is supported by the non-profit organization Macadam.
Macadam produces artistic projects around urbanism and public space.
